Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I was completely lied to and naively trusted the President instead of realizing the whole system is rotten to its very core.
In 2015 and 2016, I like so many Americans became hopeful of about a possible real genuine change to a corrupt political, economic, and cultural system in our country. Many of the things that I heard Donald Trump say sounded amazing if they would have actually been done.
On foreign policy in the campaign, I was very happy about what I was hearing from him, as we finally had a candidate who was questioning the need for NATO. He was talking about the need to get out of Afghanistan and the Middle East, as the wars had drained our country of trillions of dollars, thousands of American lives, and hundreds of thousands of lives in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
In the campaign, President Trump played a very different tune about Saudi Arabia, and that tune was the correct one. He was bravely talking about how Saudi Arabia was a terror supporter, he openly said that as it pertains to who was involved in 9/11 that we may find out it was the Saudis, and he insulted Saudi Princes like “Dopey” Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal.

During the campaign, Trump had talked about the very serious issues we have at the border of illegal immigration, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and crime coming across the border. He stood against mass immigration at a time where wages have been stagnant or declining and with millions of Americans out of work and even more out of the labor force. A wall would not be everything in terms of securing the border but it would be a huge step to securing the border and helping improve the security situation for Americans in border communities as well as for people who would not make the dangerous trip to the US-Mexico border.
He rightly called out the drug cartel threat which is a threat for both the United States and Mexico, and he was absolutely right to do so.
During the campaign, Trump had stressed the need to rebuild our nation’s crumbling infrastructure and he was absolutely right to say that. The situation as it pertains to our nation’s infrastructure is a disaster and it only continues to worsen. According to the American Society of Civil Engineers, the US needs to spend 4.5 trillion dollars to fix our nation’s infrastructure.
According to the ASCE, between 2016 and 2025, our airports face a 42 billion dollar funding gap, and as the coronavirus hits the airlines hard, that gap will only get worse. Congestion has become a massive problem at the airports and there is no sign that that is going to improve any time soon.
The Federal Highway Administration says that around 56,000 of America’s 614,387 bridges are structurally deficient, that is 9.11% of all bridges nationally. Over 200,000 bridges are at a minimum 50-years-old.
In 2016, there were around 15,500 high-hazard dams in the country, and the situation has not improved since then.
The crisis in terms of the water in Flint Michigan has continued as the residents in large numbers were exposed to drinking water with high levels of led.
Many pipes that carry America’s drinking water have been in use for over 100 years and the cracks have lead to a loss if about two trillion gallons of treated drinking water every year.
Most of the American power lines have lived past their five decade life expectancy and as the power lines get older as the ruling class ignores this issue, power interruptions are only inevitably going to increase.
Inland waterways need the infrastructure to support it as a viable method of transporting goods to different portions of the country. The ASCE says that the 50% of the vessels that use these waterways experience delays.
The ASCE says that 80 billion dollars are needed to repair and improve levees we have especially a time many parts of the country have been devastated by flooding.
America’s roads are in extremely bad shape as about a third of urban roads and 14% of rural roads are in very bad shape. According to the Department of Transportation, over 800 billion dollars are needed to repair the crumbling roads in our country.
Every single time any attempt to build high speed rail has been tried it has gotten far too expensive and has failed before it could be finished.
Free trade and economic globalism has been absolutely devastating for countless American communities across the rustbelt and for American economic independence. There have been some improvements on this issue but Israel has huge control over a lot of American technology, and China has a monopoly over rare earth minerals and even pharmaceuticals, and he has done nothing about that.
The issue of censorship of non neoconservative and neoliberal voices has been a big issue, and the President even held a social media summit about this issue.
I like so many got so excited to see when candidate Donald Trump was talking about the need to drain the swamp of corruption out of Washington DC and about putting Hillary Clinton in jail. The justice system has been entirely rigged in favor of the criminal American elites for a long time.
Trump had even praised Wikileaks founder Julian Assange for his role in exposing Clinton corruption and other corruption of traitorous swamp rats. He was absolutely right to praise Wikileaks in the campaign as they have been a tremendous positive force for good.
Throughout the campaign Trump had railed against weak Republicans who caved to the left on issues such as spending bills on Congress and he was absolutely right to oppose it.
On the day that Donald Trump was elected it felt so great at the time, like we would actually see real positive change in the country.
Only weeks after, during the transition, the President-elect at the time said that he was not interested anymore in prosecuting Hillary Clinton for her numerous crimes.
The administration in which he would fill, was full of the very swamp rats in which he claimed he would drain.
His Chief of Staff choice was the former head of the Republican National Committee Reince Preibus, a swamp rat leading the RNC who worked against candidate Donald Trump when he was articulating an anti foreign wars, pro worker, and populist message.
Trump appointed Goldman Sachs banker and Skull and Bones secret society member Steve Mnuchin as his Treasury Secretary. Goldman Sachs is the bank who admitted to defrauding investors during the global financial crisis, and they even paid 5 billion dollars because of that.
Steve Mnuchin wouldn’t be the only Goldman Sachs man to be hired by this President. The President appointed Gary Cohn to head the National Economic Council and he served in that position from 2017 to 2018.
Dina Powell was another Goldman Sachs hire by this President as he appointed her first as the Senior Counselor to the President for Economic Initiatives. Not only did she have that position, she was also was the US Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategy. She has had two stints at Goldman Sachs and needless to say in Washington she was regarded as one of the worst swamp creatures in the capital.
Of all people to appoint as his Transport Secretary, the President decided to appoint Elaine Chao, the wife of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell a man who has been in the Senate for 35 years and has nothing positive to show for it.
McConnell and Chao have a lot of corrupt dealings as it pertains to China. Secretary Chao has been trying to arrange meetings with Chinese officials for her family’s shipping business, a business that is very close financially with the Chinese Communist Party.
Wilbur Ross was appointed as President Trump’s Commerce Secretary, and he did not divest from many investments he has and not only that, he helped to bail out Trump in Atlantic City.
Betsy DeVos who is an oligarch and former Michigan GOP Chair, has not done anything substantive to improve education and she was part of running these for profit colleges.
Hiring John Bolton as National Security Advisor was extremely disturbing and of course what came about was a more militaristic interventionist foreign policy from Trump. Bolton in the end didn’t even stay loyal to him, and Trump pretended to act all shocked about that.
Mike Pompeo was first hired as Director of the CIA where he “lied we cheated we stole”, and then was appointed Secretary of State, and he has been nothing but a neocon in that position.
The most unforgivable hire he made was undoubtedly the appointment of Alexander Acosta as the Secretary of Labor. This is the same Alexander Acosta who secured Mossad agent pedophile Jeffrey Epstein that infamous and outrageous sweetheart deal.
Despite the fact that the deep state openly was caught trying to frame Trump as a Russian agent and they ruined the lives of many innocent people, Trump did not lift a finger for them. He did lift a finger for Rod Blagojevich the corrupt former Illinois Governor who was in jail for charges pertaining to selling a Senate seat, as well as extortion on state funds being directed towards a children’s hospital and race track. He also lifted a finger for war criminal liar Dick Cheney’s Chief of Staff Scooter Libby who was in jail for perjury, making false statements, and obstruction of justice.
Not a single swamp creature has been put in jail for their crimes against this country, and the only one who got a criminal referral to the Department of Justice, Andrew McCabe, of course he was let off the hook.
The Epstein case after his death has gone nowhere, and Attorney General William Barr continues to claim that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide, when the narrative they say was completely impossible.
The Trump administration has turned against Julian Assange, as they falsely labeled him an agent of a hostile foreign power. They have continued to make his life nothing but a living hell all because he exposed the crimes of governments all around the world.
Trump has done nothing as it pertains to big tech censorship, and not only has he done nothing about big tech censorship, he decided to tariff French products because France sought to tax the companies censoring people including his supporters. What Trump should have done is either to tariff France for taking advantage of us on trade, or for harboring fugitive pedophile Roman Polanski.
The lack of action on big tech censorship should not come as a surprise, as he doesn’t care about defending the first amendment. He signed an illegal unconstitutional executive order which seeks to withhold federal funds from colleges who don’t crackdown on Israel criticism and the BDS movement enough.
Twice the President has bombed Syrian government forces based on lies. First time in 2017, after the bombing even Defense Secretary James Mattis admitted that they didn’t know 100% that it was the Assad government who launched those chemical weapons attacks. In 2018, the narrative behind the attack was entirely exposed as the OPCW investigators on the ground said there was no attack at all! Either Trump lied, or Trump unwittingly lied, but nevertheless it is on him, as he didn’t wait for the investigation to attack the Syrian government forces based on lies.
Trump has entirely flip flopped as it pertains to Saudi Arabia, as he made his first foreign trip to Saudi Arabia and they signed an arms deal of well over 100 billion dollars. Saudi Arabia has been using the US weapons to bomb both everything in Yemen creating a devastating humanitarian catastrophe, and they have also been caught yet again giving our weapons to Al Qaeda.
Trump looks the other way at what Saudi Arabia does because he has sold our troops to the highest bidder. According to the President, they have paid around one billion dollars to us for our troops to guard the Wahhabi terror state. Tens of thousands of more troops have been sent to the region as well as Afghanistan since he took office.

Our troops are still in Syria to keep the Syrian oil that we don’t even need. He never pulled our troops out of Syria, he just moved them away to avoid a conflict with NATO “ally” Turkey.
The President decided to assassinate Qassem Soleimani who was on a diplomatic mission to reduce tensions with the Saudi Kingdom he loves so much. The President changed his reasoning , but one of the most consistent reasons he gave was that Soleimani was responsible for the deaths of US troops in Iraq, and that is a lie. The Shia militia largely responsible was Muqtada Al-Sadr’s Mehdi Army who at the time did not get along with anyone including the Pro Iranian groups in Iraq. Much of the IED materials that were used in the killing of US troops in Iraq were actually made in his beloved United Arab Emirates. Soleimani fought alongside US forces in Afghanistan in Herat in 2001.
In the aftermath of that assassination which brought us to the brink of a war with Iran, the Iraqi Parliament voted to expel US troops. That would have been the perfect opportunity for the President to bring our troops home and say to his critics, don’t get mad at me, it was the Iraqi Parliament who said for us to leave and I am respecting their wishes.
The President out of one side of his mouth says he will punish those who harm Americans, but he couldn’t even label the Mexican drug cartels as a terrorist organization after they massacred an American family in Northern Mexico!
Trump has gotten friendlier and friendlier with NATO despite the fact most members still don’t pay 2% of GDP on Defense.
According to the budget proposal of the President, he wants to cut all foreign aid, with the exception of Israel.
The President continues to sign disastrous omnibus budget bills that he claims he doesn’t like but yet he continues to sign them. In the omnibus budgets he signed infrastructure gets barely anything, and nothing compared to what he had campaigned on.
Trump’s promise to build a wall on our Southern border is still very far from becoming anything resembling a reality.
The Trump administration said that they are “desperate” for mass amounts of legal immigrants. The recent college graduate unemployment rate is at its worst in decades. Over 90 million Americans are out of the labor force as well. Mass legal immigration of the brightest people from developing countries is very bad for those countries as the problems there worsen, as they face more of a brain drain. The government should be doing what it can to go after the reasons in which people want to leave. Foreign aid makes corrupt countries more corrupt as the evidence shows. Any third world elites who store their money in the US or our territories, it should be removed immediately and returned to the people. The administration should be opposing mass immigration and the reasons that mass immigration happens, but they are doing the exact opposite on both.
The brief euphoria after the election felt good, but the reality is the system hasn’t changed and it is the corrupt swamp we all know Washington DC to be.
